Joshua McClendon

 

 

Instrument: Cello

 

Biography:

 

Seventeen year old Joshua McClendon began his cello studies at the age of eight under
the tutelage of Detroit Symphony Orchestra cellist, Paul Wingert. Since, he has attended the
Interlochen Arts Camp for seven consecutive summers and the Meadowmount School of Music.
Joshua has had the opportunity to work and collaborate with musicians such as Ida Kavafian,
Daniel Ching, the Cavani Quartet, the Pro Arte Quartet, Anthony Elliott, Wei Yu, Astrid
Schween, Steve Rochen, and many more. Joshua was a finalist and named the third place
laureate in the junior division of the 20th annual Sphinx Competition. Joshua is currently a junior
at the Interlochen Arts Academy where he studies under Crispin Campbell.
