Born in Lima, Peru, at age 11 he joined the National Conservatory of Music of Peru, where he studied until 2006 under Professor Laszlo Benedeck.
During his studies in Peru, Jesus has been the winner of the National Violin Competition of Peru, making his debut as a soloist with the National Conservatory Orchestra at age 12.
As an orchestra musician, Jesus has served as principal of second violins for the New Philarmonic Orchestra of Irving, and concertmaster and guest concertmaster of several orchestras, including the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Peru, National Conservatory Symphony, Texas Christian University symphony orchestra, the Sinfonietta of Fort Worth, the Irving Symphony Orchestra, the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, and the “Filarmonica Joven de Colombia”.
Jesus has represented Peru as a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Andean Countries, the Youth Orchestra of Latinoamerica (conducted by Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel) and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas in 2014 and 2015. He was also selected to participate in the “Global Leaders Program” of the YOA, in which he was able to teach and perform in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
As a soloist, Jesus has performed with every major orchestra in Peru, and in the USA with the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra, Sinfonietta of Fort Worth, the Irving Symphony Orchestra and the San Angelo Symphony.
In 2006 Jesus was granted a full tuition scholarship from Texas Christian University where he completed his Bachelor degree, in 2013 he completed the Performer’s Certificate program at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas under former concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Emanuel Borok, and Jesus is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the University of North Texas with professor Julia Bushkova where he is the concertmaster of the UNT Concert Orchestra
