Biography:
Born in Lima, Peru, Jesus joined the National Conservatory of Music of Peru at age eleven. Throughout his time studying in Peru, Jesus has been the winner of the National Violin Competition of Peru and has performed with several Peruvian orchestras, including the National Symphony of Peru.
As an orchestral musician, Jesus has served as principal second violin for the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, as well as both concertmaster and guest concertmaster of several orchestras, including the Irving Symphony Orchestra, the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, and the “Filarmónica Joven de Colombia”.
Jesus has represented Peru as a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Andean Countries, the Youth Orchestra of Latinoamerica (conducted by Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel) and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas in 2014, 2015 and 2018, traveling across Latinoamerica and Europe. He was also selected to participate in the “Global Leaders
Program” of the YOA, in which he was able to teach and perform in Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Haiti.
In 2006, Jesus was granted a full tuition scholarship from Texas Christian University, where he completed his Bachelor degree. In 2016, Jesus completed his Masters of Music at the University of North Texas, and in 2018 he completed his Graduate
Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Jesus is currently a musician for Lincoln Center Stage and one of the founders of Musicians for the World, an up and coming nonprofit organization committed to empowering vulnerable communities around the world through virtual music education.
