Grace Smith

Biography:

 

Grace Smith is a cellist from Wyandotte, Michigan. She began studying the cello at the age of 13. Grace currently plays in the Baldwin Wallace Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Douglas Droste as well as the Cleveland Women’s Orchestra. Grace is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied with Crispin Campbell and Dr. Patrick Owen. There she had masterclasses with Rhonda Rider, Suren Bagratuni, Amit Peled, Joshua Roman, the Calidore String Quartet, Wei Yu, and the Juilliard String Quartet. Grace has participated in a few summer programs such Interlochen Arts Camp (2016) and the Conservatory Summer Institute at Baldwin Wallace (2018). Grace is currently a double major at Baldwin Wallace University studying Cello Performance with Dr. Khari Joyner and Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. Grace currently holds the position of Secretary in her chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon as well as the Networking Coordinator for Arts Management Association.
