Biography:
Violinist Anna Linder, 19, began playing violin at age five and discovered a love for chamber music four years later through Chamber Music Connection under the direction of Deborah Barrett Price. During 2015 - 2022 she was a violinist with The Dajj String Quartet, which competed and medaled at numerous national and international competitions, most notably, The Fischoff Competition, M-Prize International Competition, Bellagrande International Music Competition, St. Paul String Quartet Competition, Midwest Young Artists Discover National Chamber Music Competition, WDAV/Davidson National Competition and the Coltman Competition. Anna has performed in side-by-side residences and masterclasses with Calidore, Cavani, Dover, St. Lawrence, Doric, Hausmann, and Aizuri string quartets as well as the Neave Trio, Peter Saloff, and many others.
As a soloist, Anna was most recently a prizewinner of the Clara Schumann International Competition, the Charleston International Competition and the Bellagrande International Music Competition. She has performed as the featured soloist with the River Cities and New Albany Symphony Orchestras as winner of their concerto competitions. Anna has performed in masterclasses for Augustin Hadelich, Rachel Barton Pine, Danielle Belen, Simon James, Annie Fullard, Jinjoo Cho, Almita Vamos, Sibbi Bernhardsson, Grigory Kalinovsky, and others.
Anna has participated in summer festivals including Music@Menlo, Encore Chamber Music Intensive, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Center Stage Strings, Encore Summer Academy Solo Intensive, Cincinnati Emerging Young Artists Chamber Music and Green Lake Music Festival. Anna currently studies with Danielle Belen at The University of Michigan School of Music Theatre & Dance.
