Molly Carr Wins Bartok Viola Competition at Julliard

Virtu Scholar Molly Carr won the Bartok Viola Competiton at Julliard on February 17th.  Ms. Carr is a student of Heidi Castleman.  All of the four finalists in the competition were Ms. Castleman's students.  Ms, Carr, who plays on a contemporary American instrument by Stanley Kiemoziak from the shop of William Harris Lee, will play the Bartok Viola Concerto with the Julliard Orchestra on April 30th in Alice Tully Hall.
