Brooke Mananes wins Shenandoah University concerto competition3/12/2009Scholar and violinist Brooke Mahanes was one of the recent winners of the Shenandoah University’s concerto competition and will perform the first movement of Prokofief’s First Violin Concerto with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra on March 27, 2009, at Armstrong Concert Hall. Brooke follows up this performance by playing with the Viandante Quartet, a graduate string quartet, also at Armstrong Hall, on April 5th, 2009. The Vindante will play Debussy and Mendelssohn’s F Minor quartet.
