Emily Autumn Deppa

Emily Autumn  Deppa has received the following degrees: B.M. ,University of Minnesota, M.M., Southern Methodist University. She is currently working on her Professional Performance Certificate at Lynn University. Principal teachers are Sally O’Reilly, Jan Mark Sloman, and currently Elmar Oliveira.

Emily is the recipient of The Virtu Foundation Instrumental Scholarship Award of a violin based on a Klotz model and a prize winner of the Schubert Club Competition.  As an avid chamber musician, Emily has attended such summer festivals as the Meadowmount School for Strings, Kent Blossom Music Festival, Chautaqua Institution, and special award for the Aspen Music Festival. 

Emily Autumn Deppa enjoys orchestra playing as a major part of her career and recently served as Co-Concertmaster of the Symphony Arlington Orchestra, and Garland Symphony Orchestra in Texas.  Other orchestras that Emily has played with include, The Minnesota Orchestra, Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, Joffrey Ballet Company, Lubbick Symphony Orchestra, and Duluth Symphony Orchestra. 

Emily has participated in Master Classes with such renowned teachers as Paul Kantor, Stephen Shipps, Stephanie Chase, and the Brentano String Quartet.  She has also worked with William Preucil, Stephen Rose, Benjamin Zander, The Miami String Quartet, Charles Avsharian, Kurt Zassmannshaus, and Marylou Speaker Churchill.
