Jennifer J. Lee
Violinist Jennifer Lee has concertized around the world in Germany, Russia, Holland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Armenia, Japan, South Korea and Mexico under the direction of acclaimed conductors including Christoph von Dohnanyi and Christoph Eschenbach. She has also performed in numerous programs such as the Aspen Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Spoleto Festival USA and Pacific Music Festival collaborating with the likes of soloists Frank Peter Zimmerman and Jonathan Biss. In 2009, Jennifer recorded Handel's Alexander's Feast for Hanssler Classic with Rolf Beck and in 2010, she completed a 21-city, 23-concert United States and Canada Tour with pianist Lang Lang performing in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Davies Symphony Hall. Starting from the 2011-2012 season, she serves as the Associate Principal Second Violin for the Fairfax Symphony.
Upon graduating summa cum laude at Northwestern University as a scholarship student of Almita and Roland Vamos, Jennifer went on to receive her Master of Music in Violin Performance at the Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Lucie Robert. She is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Maryland and graduate teaching assistant for David Salness.
Jennifer has served as a teaching artist for the Midori and Friends Foundation in New York City and Brooklyn College’s Preparatory Center, while maintaining a private studio. Most recently, she was on the violin faculty for Ithaca College’s Summer Music Academy.
